‘It was lovely to see the children and young people back in school last week. Attendance across all of the Trust schools was excellent and it is clear that everyone is very pleased to be back. We are all getting used to the new procedures and policies that we have implemented to keep everyone safe and I would like to thank you and your children for supporting these changes’. Â

Today we said goodbye to an amazing year 4 class. Unfortunately due to government restrictions we were unable to have our leavers service , therefore we have compiled a leavers video, from all the teachers and children.
We would like to wish our year 4 children all the best at Dr Thomlinson Middle School!
Covid 19 did not stop us with our annual sports morning. Each team (bubble) did very well, with great team work by all children.

It is the governmentâs intention for all pupils to be back to school in September and The Three Rivers Learning Trust fully supports this ambition because the prolonged absence from school is concerning academically, socially and for some children, from a welfare and safety perspective. Please note that attendance for pupils is mandatory from September.

Our school School Governing Body (governing body) is looking to recruit a couple of new people. We would love to hear from any parents, carers, grandparents or other family members who might be interested in joining our team.
You donât need any prior knowledge of our school or education more generally – and there will be lots of support and training to help you get started. We meet for two hours every half term, usually at school – so itâs not a huge time commitment. We are a small team with lots of different skills and experience. We just share a passion for Thropton Village First School.
If you would like to know a bit more about whatâs involved, or you think this sounds like something youâd enjoy, please email our Chair, Ruth Younger: [email protected].
