All children are welcome on Thursday 9th May for a fun hour of party games!
To complete our Righteous Royal topic we celebrated with a royal party. Mrs Muir made us a royal tea party lunch with finger sandwiches, pastries and cakes. In the afternoon we listened to our year 4 ‘leader’ speeches and enjoyed our country dancing that we had practiced with Mrs Beale, whilst having some Victoria sponge cake made by Adventurers.
Thank you to all the mum’s, grandma’s and Auntie’s that attended our Mother’s Day Lunch on Thursday. The children enjoyed choosing their Mother’s Day gift from the Friends boutique and wrapping it with our volunteers. Thank you everyone!
On Monday 25th March we had a school trip to Lindisfarne Castle, Bamburgh and Alnwick Castle view point. The children loved climbing up the steep hill and steps to Lindisfarne Castle and were blown away by the stunning views from the top. They enjoyed exploring inside the castle – looking at all the bedrooms and the old kitchen and scullery. We then headed back along the causeway to Bamburgh and enjoyed a lovely lunch sitting below the castle. The children instantly commented on the difference in size between Lindisfarne Castle and Bamburgh Castle. After a quick play in the lovely park and a walk on the beach we headed back to the bus. Our final stop was at the Alnwick Castle viewing lay-by. The children enjoyed sitting on the fence taking in the view of the imposing castle.
The children enjoyed dressing up as their favourite royal character. They enjoyed a fun day with Miss Cowan using their drama skills to recreate stories of their own royal characters.
Well Done to Will and Edward in designing this year’s E-Safety poster’s.
