Thropton Village First School is committed to ensuring quality provision throughout our school community.
We welcome our duties under the Equality Act 2010 to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations in relation to age (as appropriate), disability, ethnicity, gender, religion and sexual identity.
Our school’s equality objectives should be read in conjunction with the Thropton Village First School Equalities Policy statement.
Our equality objectives 2017-2021 are as follows:
- To further deepen our pupils’ understanding of different faiths and cultures, and their understanding of life in a multicultural society so as to even better prepare for them for life in modern Britain;
- To ensure that the progress across our curriculum of disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs and disabilities matches or is improving towards that of other pupils with the same starting points;
- To ensure that our expanding extra-curricular and after school activities provision is available to all our pupils;
- To use Pupil Premium funding to ensure that all activities offered by our school are available to all our pupils
